Drop In Anchor

JNM Drop-In Anchors are internally threaded anchors for bolts and threaded rods. These are zinc plated steel tubular expansion shield and a solid, cone-shaped expander plug. The shield has four equally placed slots for a portion of its length. The shield also has a smooth, flangeless top that allows for either flush or countersunk installation. The bottom lip of the shield is tapered to allow maximum depth and holding power.

Installation

How to Install :

1.      Select the right plug size.

2.      Drill a hole in the concrete using a hammer drill and carbide tipped masonry drill bit matching the bit size with the outside diameter of the drop-in anchor being used. Make sure the hole depth exceeds the minimum embedment depth.

3.      Clear all the debris or drilling dust from the hole.

4.      Drive the anchor into the hole until it is flush with the surface of the concrete.

5.      Using proper sized setting tool, expand the anchor setting tool into the anchor followed by several hammer blows.

6.      Proper installation can be verified when the shoulder of the setting tool is flush with the top of anchor.

7.      Below Surface Installation:

1.       Drill hole deeper than anchor length.

2.      Thread bolt into anchor.

3.      Hammer anchor into hole until bolt head is at desired depth.

4.      Remove bolt and set anchor with setting tool.
