JNM Drop-In Anchors are internally threaded anchors for bolts and threaded rods. These are a zinc-plated steel tubular expansion shield and a solid, cone-shaped expander plug. The shield has four equally placed slots for a portion of its length. The shield also has a smooth, flangeless top that allows for either flush or countersunk installation. The bottom lip of the shield is tapered to allow maximum depth and holding power.

Installation

How to Install:

• Select the right plug size.
• Drill a hole in the concrete using a hammer drill and carbide-tipped masonry drill bit, matching the bit size with the outside diameter of the drop-in anchor being used. Make sure the hole depth exceeds the minimum embedment depth.
• Clear all the debris or drilling dust from the hole.
• Drive the anchor into the hole until it is flush with the surface of the concrete.
• Using proper sized setting tool, expand the anchor setting tool into the anchor followed by several hammer blows.
• Proper installation can be verified when the shoulder of the setting tool is flush with the top of the anchor.

• Drill the hole deeper than the anchor length.
• Thread bolt into anchor.
• Hammer the anchor into the hole until the bolt head is at the desired depth.
• Remove the bolt and set the anchor with the setting tool.
